about me
Patricia’s purpose in life is:
to live happy, healthy, successful, and free;
to be real and transparent, and to make the most of every moment;
to be a positive influence on those around her;
to share the truth in love and compassion;
to inspire others to conquer fear and achieve greatness;
to encourage others in their search for God and life’s purpose.
She is an energetic motivator with an enthusiasm for life. She is purpose-driven, optimistic, and disciplined. She is committed to living her best life and maintains a healthy balance between achieving goals and enjoying life. Her greatest passions are her love for God, her marriage, her children, and spreading her mantra “you can do it!” to anyone who will listen.
Patricia attended the university on a full scholarship, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 4 year degree in just 5 semesters.
She has been an interpreter for the deaf, a high school teacher, and an adjunct college professor. She and her husband have spoken to groups as a couple, and she has also led women’s groups on motivation, identity and self-confidence. She is currently a stay-at-home mom, and also a self-taught web designer. In her “free time”, she has returned to the university (after 12 years) and completed a Ph.D. program as a doctoral fellow. She is now a Ph.D. candidate and is writing her dissertation.
Patricia believes life comes with adversity and sometimes you get knocked down. You can either let it keep you down and pretend it’s fine, or get back up, brush yourself off, and get back in the game.
Everyone has a story of life’s challenges. Here are some examples of how Patricia has practiced courageous living:
Patricia has succeeded in recovery from an eating disorder for 14 years.
She has felt true lonliness, and risen above it. Finding herself alone, she moved to a new state, started a business, and succeeded in supporting herself comfortably while healing from the pain of her past.
Despite trauma during her childhood, she replaced all the ensuing thoughts of being worthless with a true confidence in who she is, and enjoys an exciting sex life with her husband of 9 years. When she met her husband, she immediately knew he was the one, and pushed on in courage to conquer her fear of intimacy.
Patricia follows an eating plan that keeps her at a healthy weight for her size 6 frame, and has been able to lose baby weight from three pregnancies easily with this eating plan. It includes no refined sugar, and eating balanced meals throughout the day. Patricia also loves to boogieboard at the beach, enjoys camping in the mountains, loves a good game of Nertz, loves writing, reading, watching documentaries, and step aerobics. She and her husband have three children.

Hi Patricia:
I love your writing. I first saw your article from the Carnival of Healing (I hosted the 10/21 edition), and then it seems like we both submitted to several of the same carnivals this week.
I was trying to leave a comment for your “how to know who you are” article, but couldn’t find the comment button there. So I’m leaving the comment here. Great article & great insight.
Warmly,
Hueina

It is a wonderful thing to find another woman who is so capable of being honest, grounded and rich in spirit; and then able to express it so beautifully! I love your site and look forward to finding the time to read many more of your earlier posts. Thanks for your insights! I’d love your feedback on my new(ish) blog: wisdomofhealing.com

Hi Pat,
I am just here to express my unreservable gratitude because since i knew your site, my life has not remianed the same.
You indeed a virtuos woman, but a product of preparation and who believes in herself. I thank God for your life most especially that you use your medium to spread the goodnews (the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ). Hell will surely reject you becuase you have no place there.
Warn regards to you husband who found you and believed in you.
God bless you real good.
Hi Patricia,
Love the blog and the picture. Not sure if you are in San Diego, but I used to live in La Jolla Shores where that pic was taken. I live a little farther north now.
Thanks to all the commenters- I am so glad the articles speak to you, and inspire you to keep on towards your goals. Thanks for the encouragements!
Tina, no, I am not in San Diego, but I have visited there- yes, La Jolla Shores is definitely a beautiful beach!
